Hello there! My name is Katie, and this is my blog, Spilled Polish. If you're reading this, then I guess you love nail polish and nail art as much as I do, and if not, then I guess you're in the wrong place! I've always been that type of person who always has their nails looking pretty and perfect (well, I hope.). I've been getting my nails done since a very young age (6 or 7? maybe?) when my mom would go to get a manicure at one of our local nail salons (we still got to the same one!). A manicure to me, or just good looking nails, is the finishing touch to that perfect outfit you put together, or even just a confidence booster. I don't know how many times that I have looked down at my nails after painting them and feeling an instant boost of confidence from them. It always saddens me when I look around and see how badly some people treat their nails, rather than take care of them. While I still get a manicure from that nail salon every once in a while, I really enjoy doing my own nails. Yet, I may not be the most experienced at everything (mostly intricate nail art), but, giving myself a manicure is something that I love.
While I'm not too new to the nail world, I am new to the world of blogging. I've been trying to get a blog up and running for some time now, and with the new year just around the corner, I thought now was better than never. Looking at the blogs I follow, I always think, "I want to do that, I want to be the one giving nail tips and reviewing polishes," and I finally am going to. I'm a young girl with a budget and not a whole lot of money to splurge on expensive nail polishes, but I make do. If you really look hard enough, you can score some of those expensive polishes for really affordable prices. This blog is my way of showing you that, showing you that you don't have to spend $10 on that polish you feel in love with.
